This is how children of color are treated in schools, people, especially brown children. How will this child trust teachers actually care about her again? Huh? Tell me that.
The teacher tried to brush this shit off and say it was “just a joke.” Yeah… because humiliating a child in a classroom full of her peers is just fucking hilarious. I’m willing to put money on the fact that she’d never do this shit to a nice little white child.
Motherfucking Arizona.
i can’t believe there are people out there who think this was because she’s black
IT’S BECAUSE SHE NEVER DOES HER HOMEWORK
and mother, tell your child to finish her homework before you defend her against getting shitted on for not doing so.
- The child wasn’t black.
- Even if she didn’t do her homework, THAT IS NO REASON FOR A TEACHER TO PUBLICLY HUMILIATE THEIR STUDENT!
- Please do everyone on the internet a favor and deposit yourself into the shame cube
.
This is bullshit. It was a joke. It was funny. The children laughed because it was an ongoing joke. Clearly, if the rest of the class knew to laugh at the award, then everybody already knew she didn’t do her homework. That’s only humiliating if she’s guilty for being fucking lazy. If her mother wants to get pissy at the teacher, maybe she should take an interest in her daughter when she needs help with her education, not when there’s money to be made from selling a bullshit story to some shitty media institution.
Js.
punch yourself in the head
The projections & assumptions here are kind of fascinating in a terrible way. First of all “most excuses” could mean anything from 1 excuse to 180. My guess (since the girl is enrolled in an afterschool program that includes homework assistance) is that the number is closer to 1 than 180. Then the idea that Mom is an uncaring neglectful parent because the kid maybe didn’t do her homework (or lost it which is really likely at that age), is based on what exactly? Her complaining about this award & the teacher’s lack of communication that there was a problem? Uh, I hate to break this to a whole lot of people, but at this age if there’s a problem with homework it’s normal for the teacher to contact the parents. Usually by email or phone, or via progress reports, or at those twice a year parent teacher conferences when report cards are handed out. And that’s assuming the teacher doesn’t make the kid skip recess or keep her after school to catch up on homework. So for the teacher to give this award instead of doing anything useful? Yeah there’s a long standing problem happening & it isn’t on the part of the kid or the mom.
i cant believe there is actually people justifying this to be hilarious! ughh the stupidity of some people -.-
